The war is what keeps the party going. It doesn't matter who they are having the war with or if it is doing good or bad just as long as they are having one so that they can keep rationing and keep changing history. When they changed who they had war with it was like they were changing everything they worked for days and just to change the history. I don't really think the war is real because you just can't change who your at war with. I think the glass paper weight serves as winston and julies own little world and when it broke so did there world it was over they had been caught.
I don't think that the war is really going on. Its away for the party to keep the people suppressed. If they are at war they can use the power to control the people and get thier suppport. I don;t think the war is real. They can also take supplies from the differant classes and use it the way they want.I'm not sure what the weight is exactly.
